John is obviously someone on Adobe's payroll somewhere/some-fashion.
So that's my two cents, ignore those of us who still have a CS6 machine around at your own risk as reputation goes a long way.In the meantime I guess I'll wait to upgrade my OS. I had been planning to upgrade my personal rig to CC when I upgrade to a newer Mac but ever since CC was rolled out without much consideration for the upgrade path most of us were expecting, Adobe has rubbed me the wrong way. They are, after all, the underdog in video editing with Avid being the industry standard. Now that's done and we're not going to undo it but what will I say to the next group that needs me to recommend a creative video platform? If I have a bad personal experience with Adobe and I migrate my personal studio to another platform, I'm not going to recommend Adobe professionally. For example, I was a driving force in causing my current employer to change to Adobe CC from Avids. I've been a TV producer for 15 years and I make a lot of decisions regarding creative software. but they should provide basic patches for OS compatibility.Įven if I ended up with no recourse legally, they could certainly lose me as a customer and a supporter. No, they don't have to supply new features etc.
John, you keep repeating that like you really want it to be true but I agree with those who say Adobe has an obligation to support the software I bought less than three years ago.
